District Water and Sanitation Committee Member

Position Summary:

As a member of the Rotary District Water and Sanitation Committee, you will support the Chair in advancing Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) initiatives within the district. You will play a key role in promoting WASH projects, enabling clubs to leverage resources, and advocating for the adoption of tools provided by the Water & Sanitation Rotarian Action Group (WASH-RAG). Your collaboration with other committees will be crucial in supporting global grants for WASH projects.

District Water and Sanitation Committee Chair

Term:

One year, renewable

Key Responsibilities:

One or more of the following:

·         Project Advocacy: Support the Chair in championing WASH projects and stimulating district-wide participation.

·         Resource Assistance: Aid clubs in accessing and utilizing materials and resources for WASH projects under the Chair's guidance.

·         WASH-RAG Promotion: Promote the use of WASH-RAG's resources, assisting clubs in the planning and implementation of WASH projects.

·         Global Grant Assistance: Provide support to the International Committee and clubs in the application and administration of Rotary global grants focused on WASH.

·         Strategic Support: Assist in formulating and executing strategic plans to amplify the reach and impact of WASH projects.

·         Educational Support: Help organize educational sessions for clubs, disseminating best practices in WASH project execution.

·         Collaborative Efforts: Engage with relevant organizations and action groups to bolster the district's WASH initiatives.

Requirements:

·         Commitment to WASH: A genuine passion for enhancing Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene initiatives.

·         Advisory Capacity: Willingness to assist clubs by providing support and knowledge in WASH activities.

·         WASH-RAG Knowledge: A good understanding of WASH-RAG and its resources.

·         Supportive Project Management: Skills in supporting project management tasks, including experience or familiarity with Rotary's grant processes.
