District Rotary Foundation Committee Chair

· Leadership and Meetings: Chair 2-3 committee meetings per Rotary Year and additional sessions as necessary, driving the scholarship strategy and decision-making process.
· Committee Oversight: Serve as a member of the District Rotary Foundation Committee, representing the interests and activities of the Scholarship Committee.
· Web Content Oversight: Ensure the scholarships page on the District 6270 website is up-to-date with accurate and comprehensive information.
· Promotion: Lead the advertisement of scholarship opportunities within District 6270 and to educational institutions in the district's area.
· Candidate Selection: Oversee the interviewing, evaluation, and selection process for applicants of Global Grant Scholarships and short-term stipends.
· Application Process Management: Facilitate the Global Grant application process for candidates, including liaison with The Rotary Foundation’s Regional Grants Officer, coordination with international partners, and assistance with budgeting and application troubleshooting.
· Scholarship Orientation: Guide scholars through Rotary orientation, preparing them for their academic endeavors and travel.
· Publicity Coordination: Coordinate the creation and dissemination of content to publicize awarded scholarships.
· Scholar Monitoring: Keep track of scholars’ academic progress and involve them in District 6270’s Rotary activities.
· Reporting: Compile and deliver progress and final reports for each scholarship, ensuring compliance with Rotary Foundation requirements.
· Local Engagement: Organize presentations by scholars at local Rotary clubs and district events, fostering a connection between scholars and the Rotary community.
· Rotary Experience: Long-standing member of Rotary with in-depth knowledge of its scholarship programs and Global Grant processes.
· Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in academic, administrative, or professional settings.
· Communication: Exceptional communication abilities to effectively correspond with scholars, educational institutions, and Rotary officials.
· Organization: Strong organizational and planning skills, with experience in managing complex programs and meeting critical deadlines.
· Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail, crucial for the scrutiny of scholarship applications and the accurate reporting of scholars’ progress.
